The main function of a car rear diffuser effectively increases the vehicle’s downforce and increases the car’s grip on the road surface and reduce the aerodynamic drag. To elaborate the working mechanism of the car rear diffuser – the air pressure created beneath the car gets affected by the diffuser, which helps the air pressure to normalize as the vehicle moves forward cutting the air. Similar to an airplane wing or the rear spoiler of the car, the car rear diffuser makes use of Bernoulli’s Principle to decreases the air pressure beneath the car and increase the speed of the air.
